LockOut times
Last updated - Oct 22, 2026
LockOut times control when employees can dock in or out on a device. Outside the allowed period, the device displays a message asking the employee to try again later.
Schedules apply to a device, rather than an individual employee. They are available for the TimeDock Mobile App and TimeDock Machines, with different setup steps for each.
When to use LockOut times
Use LockOut times to restrict docking to agreed shift or business hours. Choose a window that allows employees to record both the start and the end of their work.

Set LockOut times on a TimeDock Machine
For a TimeDock Machine running version 3.0.0 or higher:
In the TimeDock Dashboard, go to Setup > Devices.
Select the TimeDock Machine you want to configure.
On the General tab, set the Unlocked Between times. These define when docking is allowed. The example below allows docking from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm.
To allow docking at any time, set the start and finish to the same time.
Click Save.
