Setting up a new employee is easy, removing an old employee easy, and reviewing a week’s timesheet is easy. Plus it’s easy to spot errors and correct them.
Wanganui high quality meat wholesaler Chef’s Choice needed to ensure the timesheets of 22 staff were accurate, reliable and cloud-friendly.
We thought there had to be an easier solution than relying on line managers to record staff attendance and collating that at the end of the week; we looked into clock-in clock-out old style units which were expensive and geared at large employers or medium size employers- there was nothing for smaller businesses. We Googled and came across TimeDock - which was streets ahead of other old school options. It was easy, quick and cheap.
The main challenge TimeDock solved was around staff. People were coming and going at different times…. We wanted transparency about the hours people worked. Using TimeDock to record hours placed some onus back on the employee, ensuring breaks were the right length of time. Before, our business was reliant on paper and memory. Now TimeDock information shows it is what it is.
Chef’s Choice chose to use TimeDock's WiFi Time Clock known as the TimeTablet, which each staff member – who has their own ID card – can clock into with a simple swipe.
TimeDock also integrated Dean’s iPayroll timesheets “quickly, easily and at no cost to us.”
We’ve had instances in the past with employees who want to achieve a better pay rate and it was easy to explain that if you make yourself available set hours every day, you can increase your pay, and we could show them their attendance last month and this is what could’ve been in your pay packet at the end of the week.
Regular software updates increase the efficiency of TimeDock all the time, meaning fewer and fewer mouse clicks. Dean says TimeDock is “as easy as anything”.
